The Crunch have some more great news to share in regards to familiar faces that we are promising to bring back.
This time we want to welcome back not only a leader, both on and off the ice, but the OT Championship hero – #53 Austin Whelan.
We are excited to bring back Austin for his 3rd tour of duty here in Cochrane.
We have watched Austin grow his game tremendously over the first two years. Austin has become a more rounded player for the Crunch and he worked his butt off after year 1 to take his game to next level in year 2 . We are excited to see where his gear takes him this year in year 3.
He seems to shine when stakes are on the line. And his never give up attitude along with his yes sir no sir coach-able attitude is what makes coaching and having a player like Austin back for a 3rd season.
Makes us excited for our team to chase another Championship and try and earn a birth at next years RBC.
