NOJHL names its Eastlink TV 3 Stars of the Week

SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced Monday that forwards Tyson Moore and Sebastien Ouimet of the Cochrane Crunch as well as Josh Dickson of the Timmins Rock have been named its Eastlink TV 3 Stars of the Week for the period ending December 13.

TYSON MOORE, (F) COCHRANE CRUNCH – In his club’s lone match-up of the week, Moore dished out a personal single-game-best four assists in helping the Crunch skate to a road victory Sunday afternoon in Kirkland Lake.

The 20-year-old forward, who hails from Kingston, Ont., has already produced a trio of outings of three or more points on the season and currently leads the NOJHL in offensive production with 15 in just seven contests on three tallies and 12 helpers.

Moore is also riding a seven-game point streak, having etched his name on the game sheet in each of Cochrane’s games so far this season.

He is also just two points shy of matching his totals with the Crunch in 2019-20.

JOSH DICKSON, (F) TIMMINS ROCK – Collecting an assist and adding a goal in the Rock’s narrow win over Hearst Sunday, Dickson reached the 100-point plateau in league scoring numbers.

The 20-year-old from Port Perry, Ont., made a nice play in setting up a shorthanded marker against the Lumberjacks, then proceeded to bury the decider off a faceoff during a two-man advantage to get him to the century mark in his NOJHL career.

With points in all seven games for the Rock on the campaign, Dickson’s 12 points overall place him in fourth spot in league scoring.

Through 114 NOJHL outings, he has scored 45 times and assisted on 55 others.

SEBASTIEN OUIMET, (F) COCHRANE CRUNCH – Ouimet provided a pair of goals, including the game-winner, as Cochrane spoiled Kirkland Lake’s home and season opener Sunday at the Joe Mavrinac Community Complex.

The two tallies for the 17-year-old Vankleek Hill, Ont., product has now seen him find the back of the net in six of seven games the Crunch have played to date this season.

His seven markers place him second among all NOJHL skaters and like Moore and Dickson, he too has a seven-game point streak on the go.
