Crunch ink veteran goalie

The Cochrane Crunch are happy to announce that they have acquired veteran goalie Justin Vertesi for a player development fee.

Justin has played two years of Junior hockey already. Last season played for the Burlington Cougars and Newmarket in the OJHL.

Justin is a 19 year old experienced goalie with a pretty impressive resume. The season prior to playing with Burlington, he played for Ancaster in the GOJHL ,as a rookie starter in the league, and enjoyed a very impressive season with them.

Justin is a big athletic goalie who is 6’4 190lbs and a competitor on and off the ice as he is always training and wanting to get better.

He also likes to play the puck and we need a lot of that for our transition game.

We have been working on getting Justin now for 4 weeks as he had other opportunities in other Jr A leagues but he has decided that he wants to play in Cochrane with the Crunch and make a run for the Dudley.

Justin will arrive in camp on the 15th with all the other recruits and hopefuls as he will battle for playing time as a team like ours needs two very capable goalies.
