CJHL rankings sees 4 NOJHL clubs tabbed once again

SUDBURY – The Canadian Junior Hockey League announced their weekly Pointstreak Top 20 rankings Monday and four Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League clubs earned recognition once again.

The latest listings, which are compiled in conjunction with International Scouting Services, saw the NOJHL-leading Soo Thunderbirds remain No. 2 in the 131-team CJHL while the Cochrane Crunch were tabbed 11th, the Powassan Voodoos 14th and the 2016 Dudley-Hewitt Cup host Kirkland Lake Gold Miners earned honourable mention laurels.

Sault Ste. Marie is fresh off capturing the NOJHL West Division title over the weekend while improving to a league-best record of 40-4-1-0. The T-Birds are also a combination of five points gained by them or lost by both Cochrane and Powassan from claiming the overall regular season crown.
