Captain Lovie to Waterloo

The Crunch are excited to announce that #74 Connor Lovie (Captain Crunch) has finally made his final decision on where he will except his offer for school and hockey next fall. After receiving many opportunities in the CIS and NCAA with the likes of Western University Nipissing University and Stevens Point just to name a few of the many that have reached out Connor has decided that he will suit up and play CIS hockey for the University of Waterloo next season.

Connor played 200 regular season games for the Crunch in 4 years and is the 3rd player in NOJHL history for most games played. In his 4 seasons Connor received Defencemen of the year for the NOJHL two years in a row and also was named the NOJHL MVP this year and also NOJHL Play Off MVP.

Myself am so happy to see how this all played out watching him grow the last 4 seasons here with the program. Connor was a special player on and off the ice just the way he carried himself at such a young age. From the time I watched him play in Grand Rapids Michigan as a 16 yr old I had the opportunity to watch him grow step by step. Connor comes from a great hard working class family who were very supportive of decision very young for Connor to come under my wing here and I thank them (Michelle and Sean) for that.

Special thanks also goes out to a great billet family Neil and Andrea as Connor and his family are now family to the whole Iserhoff clan as they also played a big part in his growth the last 4 years here in Cochrane.

Connor there will always be a special place in all our hearts up here in Cochrane and who ever wears the C next season has some very big shoes to fill. On behalf Katherine and I our whole Crunch family thank you for believing in the Program.

Wishing you nothing but the best in the next stage of your Growth!
